Swan-on-chip is a brand new European Funded project dedicated to low-power spintronics wireless autonomous node (SWAN) integrated circuits developed via the spintronics technology accelerator platform.

OUR MISSION

The aim of the SWAN-on-chip project is to explore and optimise a variety of spintronic technologies which range from low-risk technologically mature to highly disruptive next-generation devices.

Once these individual devices have been modelled, optimised and characterised, they will be co-integrated with tailored CMOS circuitry to develop spin-based hardware (“spin-chips”) modules, thus validating the Spin-EC and Spin-MPW concepts, the two components of the spintronics technology accelerator platform.

OUR GOALS

  • Production of state-of-the-art Spintronics/CMOShybrid spin-based hardware

  • Integration of multiple spin-chips for SWAN prototype functional demonstrator

  • Validation of SWAN-on-chip concept within the spintronics technology accelerator platform
